Renting MTI e-Scripts

MTI Musicals are now available for rent on the Scene Partner Webstore!

 

 

What is an MTI e-Script?

 

MTI e-Scripts are a new rehearsal tool from Music Theatre International and Scene Partner. Click here to browse our current list of MTI e-Scripts. MTI e-Scripts include the fully authorized MTI Libretto  the perfect tool for learning your lines!  MTI e-Scripts are available for rent for only $4.99 per copy (Each cast member who uses Scene Partner must have their own copy. Just like with printed versions or e-books, e-Script copies may not be shared.). MTI e-Scripts are available in connection with a specific theater's licensed production of that musical.


MTI e-Script rentals are only available to theaters and actors who are in an approved production of the musical and who provide a valid MTI Rental Code for that production prior to Checkout on the Scene Partner e-Script WebStore.  

 

How Long is the Rental Period for My MTI e-Script?

 

The rental period lasts until the final performance date of your licensed production, as indicated on the MTI License. If this date changes, the rental period will be updated to reflect the new final performance date.

 

What is Included With My MTI e-Script?

 

Your MTI e-Script includes a digital version of the fully authorized MTI Libretto, formatted specifically for Scene Partner  the perfect tool for learning your lines!  In addition, a PDF of the Libretto is available for you to read within the Scene Partner App. Your MTI e-Script does not include musical accompaniment. What is an MTI Rental Code?

 

For those musicals available for use with the Scene Partner App, the MTI performance license for your production includes an MTI Rental Code for Scene Partner e-Scripts. You must provide the MTI Rental Code for your e-Script prior to Checkout on the Scene Partner e-Script WebStore.

Each MTI Rental Code for a Scene Partner e-Script is only valid for a specific Theater's licensed production of that musical.   

 

Where Do I Enter My Rental Code?

 

Your MTI Rental Code must be provided prior to Checkout on the Scene Partner e-Script WebStore. Click here to Sign In and provide your Rental Code.

In the form, enter  your Scene Partner username and password.  Then enter your MTI Rental Code and click the "sign in" button

If your Rental Code is valid for a licensed production, then you will be shown this confirmation message:


"Congratulations! You supplied a valid Rental Code. You will now be taken back to your Shopping Cart."

 

If your Rental Code is not valid, then you will be shown this error message:

"We’re sorry, the Rental Code you entered does not match an Authorized Rental Code in our database. Please check the code and try again or contact your Theater to get an updated code for your production."

 

 

 

How Do I Get an MTI Rental Code for My Production?

 

If you are from a theater, then your MTI Rental Code was provided with your Music Theatre International - Booking Confirmation email. An example of this email is shown here. Your MTI Rental Code consists of three letters followed by seven numbers.

If you are an actor in an MTI Licensed production, please ask your theater to provide you with the Rental Code for that musical.

 

I'm From a Theater, Can I Rent Multiple Copies for My Cast?

 

Yes. Your theater's MTI Rental Code, which is linked to your licensed production, may be used to rent multiple copies of the e-Script as long as you are renting the e-Script for your Scene Partner Theater Account. These copies can then be distributed to your cast using your Theater Library's "Library Key" password (Each cast member who uses Scene Partner must have their own copy. Just like with printed versions or e-books, e-Script copies may not be shared.).

If you did not receive your Rental Code when you licensed the musical, just log in to your MyMTI account and you will find the Rental Code beneath the show title, or you can contact your MTI Licensing Representative.

 

I'm an Actor in a Musical, Can I Rent an MTI e-Script?

 

Yes. If you are an actor in an MTI Licensed production, please ask your theater to provide you with the Rental Code for that musical. The MTI Rental Code for your production may be used by all of the actors in your cast.

 

What Happens if I Don't Enter a Rental Code Before Checkout?

 

Your rental transaction will be processed through your Credit Card provider immediately after you checkout on the Scene Partner WebStore. However, if no Rental Code is provided, then your MTI e-Script rental may be placed on hold until we receive a valid MTI Rental Code from you.

We will contact you via email if we do not receive a valid MTI Renal Code.  To provide your Rental Code after Checkout on the Scene Partner WebStore, simply sign in to our website and return to your Scene Partner Library. There you will see a form at the bottom of the page where you can enter your Rental Code for immediate processing. If you provide your Rental code via email, it may take up to 72 hours to release your e-Script from its hold status. When the e-Script is released from hold, it will be delivered to your Scene Partner Library. If a valid MTI Rental Code cannot be provided, then your order will be cancelled and the rental amount will be promptly refunded.
